JITO Atlanta Chapter Launch

Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) is a unique, multi-stakeholder community of visionary Jain Industrialists, Businessmen & Professionals who share a commitment to shape the future of the community and society at large.

The core objective of the organization is Economic Empowerment ,Knowledge sharing and Seva for the community globally with its 73 Chapters across 31 Countries with 18000+ active members currently , JITO has seen a massive growth since its foundation back in 2007 in INDIA and JITO was launched in USA IN 2017, as an extension of the initiatives and services of the parent organization, in the United States. JITO is a multi-stakeholder community of successful Jain business entrepreneurs and professionals working together for the common purpose of growth, economic empowerment and social service.

JITO USA has already its chapters launched in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Washington DC. In December 2024, JITO Atlanta Chapter was launched with over 100+ attendees In person and over the zoom. The event was further elevated by the presence of keynote speaker- Padma Bhushan Dr. Jagdish Sheth , whose profound words of wisdom and vision beautifully highlighted the importance of JITO. He inspired everyone to see the platform’s potential to shape not just today’s Jain community but also the generations to come. The launch event was graced by Atlanta Consul General Shri Ramesh Babu & Shri Sapan Bafna, JITO USA General Secretary & Dallas Chapter Founder/Chairman, brought an encouraging and unique appreciation for the JITO initiative.

Current Initiative of Atlanta Chapters inncludes JITO USA Atlanta Leadership Forum (JLF) which facilitate a network of business professionals to achieve higher economic growth and prosperity. Co-create employment and internship opportunities and job banks for graduates and working professionals. Provide platform for collaboration and exchange of ideas. Enhance and foster collaboration between Jain business persons and professionals across the USA.

JITO Ladies Wing (JLW) has been an amazing body for the Jain Women Entrepreneurs and professionals under the visionary leadership of Smt. Madhu Sheth serving as Vice Chairperson for JLW.

This forum aims to provide opportunities and create a network of like-minded women, business owners, professional leaders across all areas to promote academic and socio-economic development among Jain Women. This will enhance and foster collaboration between Jain Women across the USA.

Atlanta JLW recently had a Networking events for all members and non members on January 25 with a special concept – “My Inspiration” at MAYA INDIAN FINE DINE with Key note Speaker Judge Neera Bahl.

JLW saw a huge success with large participation from Jain Ladies from Atlanta in person and other women leaders of JITO USA chapters joined over the zoom. The event kick started by Nikita Shah by welcoming all the attendees followed by the exceptional success journey of Key note speaker Judge NEERA BAHL. She mentioned everything is possible for a woman who doesn’t give up on her dreams. Despite many challenges and being from a non LAW background how she started her LAW journey all from scratch. Throughout her journey from a LAW student at the age of 40 to become a LAW professional , getting her first job in a reputed LAW firm to starting her own consultancy and finally becoming the First Indian female in Atlanta to be chosen for JUDGE by Governor BRIAN KEMP. She was appointed as Appellate Judge and Director of the Georgia State Board of Workers. Her journey truly inspired not only the Women present but also the Young Girls who joined the event.

The event was further graced by the inspiring story of SMT. Madhu Sheth who was a teacher by profession when she first came to the America as newly wedded with her Husband DR Jagdish Sheth. She mentioned Life was not easy those days being a vegetarian with almost no Indian groceries around those days. Also the education system in the US was very different from India and she started her new ventures in different fields including IMPORT-EXPORT business along with raising her kids and taking care of the family.

Smt Madhu Sheth and Dr Jagdish Sheth are the Founders of the Sheth Foundation and active philanthropists working towards betterment of the community.

JLW and JITO Atlanta is planning many such networking events for the Jain professionals. The Future Jain Leadership Program envisions helping Jain youth define their life mission in alignment with JITO’s principles, including economic empowerment, knowledge, and service. FJLP strives to cultivate a curiosity among Jain youth for ways to improve the status quo. Through mentorship connections and youth interaction in our community, we hope to foster a collaborative environment from which members can learn and grow with the guidance of their mentors and support of peers.
