Atlanta Georgia’ s Vani Ghanate and Rekha Radhakrishnan was honored at AMEC’s 13th Annual Congressional Award TOP 20 GLOBAL WOMEN OF EXCELLENCE 2025 at Capitol Hill Washington DC on the occasion of International women’s day celebration.

The American Multi Ethnic Commission (AMEC) is a bipartisan, grassroots organization dedicated to empowering ethnic communities through social, educational, health, cultural, and political initiatives. With representation from 33 ethnic communities worldwide, AMEC strives to foster inclusivity and inspire collective action by amplifying diverse voices.

AMEC’s vision is to create a more connected and empowered global community by providing opportunities for engagement, advocacy, and progress. AMEC hosts prestigious events such as the Congressional Global Community Oscars Gala, Top 20 Global Women of Excellence, Podcasts by Dr. VGP, and the U.S. Congressional Awards Gala, celebrating leadership, diversity, and excellence.

Vani Ghanate – Founder of DhoomDB.com, Georgia, USA; honored for outstanding contribution as visionary in technology and entrepreneurship.

She started her Mompreneur journey after leaving a successful career in IT. What began as a solo effort has grown into a thriving enterprise powered by a team of dedicated individuals, most of them women. Vani’s vision is to create a one-stop destination for media enthusiasts worldwide. Beyond her business success, she remains dedicated to empowering women by creating opportunities and fostering professional growth within her team.


Vani is also coming up with a social cause for upliftment of Women in Vrindavan,India and wants to create a large impact for the betterment.

The AMEC awards celebrate individuals committed to uplifting ethnic communities. Atlanta s prominent Community leader Shri Mustafa Ajmeri had personally joined both the Mompreneurs in the Capitol Hill awards ceremony.

Rekha Radhakrishnan a Life coach and empowerment mentor, Georgia, USA was another recipient of this prestigious awards.

Rekha Radhakrishnan was honored for her contributions to women’s empowerment, particularly through her impactful work in Technology, Leadership Coaching, Music, and Literature. Rekha expressed her commitment to fostering a “Circle of Sisterhood,” promoting collaboration, success, and shared prosperity among women.

She also paid tribute to her grand-uncle, Padma Vibhushan Dr. V.K.R.V. Rao, India’s former Union Minister for Education. Rekha pledged to continue honoring his legacy by promoting social reform and advancing educational opportunities for betterment of the community.

A special Success Event was organized to celebrate the success of both the Ladies of Georgia on April 13 evening.

Many community leaders, business and Indian American media professionals along with AMEC Atlanta Chapter Team joined to celebrate the success and congratulate Vani and Rekha. Atlanta’s prominent Community Leader Mustafa Ajmeri specially curated the success event.
